A few years ago, I purchased a miniature rose plant. Before adding it to my windowsill garden I gave it a name, as one does. Mr. Thornton is a northern gentleman with a fondness for southern sunshine. He can be a bit prickly but is also sweet…sometimes. A Few Deep Breaths
When the world shut down in early 2020 I was still figuring out the whole breathing normally thing. Throwing a new, little-understood respiratory disease and masks into the mix was just the existential cherry on top of an asthmatic sundae.
The Other Shoe
A few years ago, I witnessed the dropping of about 20 boots. It was part of a performance of “Oklahoma!”, not some footwear production mishap, and I’m not sure about the number, but the point is that there were a lot of shoes, and they were dropped.

Cozy Cognizance
Fuzzy socks are exponentially softer when it’s snowing outside. Hot chocolate/coffee/tea is like liquid love when it hits your lips on a crisp, cool morning. There is nothing cozier than your favorite blanket after a hectic day.
