Collective Awe

Last week felt like a whirlwind of beginnings. The week started with the unofficial start of winter with the first snowfall in Chicago and ended with what felt like the beginning of spring.

Sandwiched in between was the return of the Northern Lights, which always feels like some sort of cosmic reset. Forcing us all to reconnect with the universe and participate in collective awe.

It’s funny how something as simple as the weather, whether solar or global, can inspire. Moments like these offer an opportunity for whimsy and wonder. Even the more mundane and terrestrial events.

They’re a reminder of the seasons of all things. Even if those seasons are a bit unexpected and out of order. Sometimes there’s beauty and joy to be found in the things we can’t control.

Be Kind. Be Brave. Stay Awkward.
